Denny WASP Courses

This is a self-supporting club for artists. Work on your existing projects in the company of like-minded folk.

Sessions within the fitness suite are aimed at developing your own personal fitness with the advice and support of the instructor.

New to Scottish Family History wondering where to begin? This club will get you started with the use of and access to the Registers of Births, Marriages and Deaths, Old Parish Records, Census Returns and Gravestone Inscriptions throughout Scotland.

This is a social class where students bring thier own needle craft and help and support each other.

Our tutor will give advice and support to all who require help with their smart phones, IPads, tablets, Kindles and the internet.

Share your local knowledge? Meet new like-minded people? Join this group which meets monthly or the 1st Friday of the Month in the afternoon.

This course is designed for learners who have a very basic knowledge of the language.  We will learn basic grammar structures and vocabulary to interact in everyday situations, develop our communication skill (particularly speaking and listening) gain confidence in conversation, and, above all have some fun in the process! Don't be shy!

A group of people getting together to keep their French conversation alive.  Good conversation and good fun.  We read aloud in French and then translate to English followed by informal discussion in French.

This is a self-led group for individuals with some knowledge and an interest in the technical side of computers.  Discussions, investigations and practical activities may take place throughout the session based on queries raised by members of the group.

This is a self-led group that students bring along their own projects and help each other.

Acoustic jam session for musicians and singers.  Bring along your instrument (your voice is an instrument) and chill with us.

Aimed at individuals with little experience of the subject psychology, this course will offer a general introduction to different and interesting aspects of human behaviour.

This would suit individuals who wish to learn more about how the human mind works ans will also provide a solid foundation for those who wish to take their study of the subject further.

Come along and join the fun that is card making for the special people in your life. Our tutor is very experienced in all kinds of card making and will make you feel at ease whether your a beginner or not.

This is a self- led group where students bring their own projects and help and support each other, whether it be sewing, knitting, cross stitch or any other craft you would like to do or just come along for a blether and enjoy the group.

A mixture of tia chi, strengthening and stretching exercises designed to calm the body, mind and improve functional activities.  This class is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Poses stretches have all been modified for use on a mat of chair.  The class is great for building joint strength and body control, improving flexibility and balance.  

The session always finishes with some relaxation to promote mental wellbeing.

Free swim session under the supervision of the life guard at Denny High School

Starting from scratch learn how to use a sewing machine and few tricks of the trade.

The class will work through basic woodworking skills which would involve using numerous hand tools and machinery.  Throughout the course, studens will complete 3 models.  A memo block holder, a planter and tea tray.  The tray will be manufactured using the woodworking lathe.
